Mackey & Tanner was created in 2001 in response to the changing dynamics of the staffing industry and the preferences of our customers to align themselves with a business partner committed to understanding their business, their industry, their operational challenges and their resource requirements.
Company History
Mackey & Tanner began under the management of Jeff Mackey and Frank Tanner, providing full-time staffing services in the areas of finance and accounting. Jeff and Frank were business unit directors for one of the nation’s largest staffing companies prior to starting Mackey & Tanner and were continuously rated among the top performers out of 85 offices nationwide. Both Jeff and Frank have degrees in accounting and worked in the accounting related professions for 10+ years prior to starting their careers in staffing; Jeff in 1994 and Frank in 1996.
The Mackey & Tanner Information Technology (IT) division was started in 2003 under the management of Bryan Bernard. Bryan has been in the staffing industry since 1996 and previously was a business unit director working for one of the nation’s largest staffing companies and successfully managed the largest IT staffing operation out of 85 offices nationwide. Bryan has a degree in Information Technology and worked for over 10 years as an IT senior project manager.
In 2007, Mackey & Tanner added another division, Project Resource Solutions (PRS) to provide senior level resource talent in the areas of finance and accounting. Leslie Hector, who joined the Mackey & Tanner team to manage this line of business, has over 10 years of staffing industry experience, including working with one of the country’s largest staffing firm. Leslie has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, a Master’s degree in finance, and worked in the accounting profession for over 10 years.
